All except for one of the meals below uses less than four each of the following basic ingredients: eggs, cheese, milk or heavy whipping cream, butter, bread, pasta, tomatoes, lettuce and bacon. With a little salt and pepper to taste, these dinners would make Martha Stewart proud.

Pasta with Alfredo Sauce

This is slightly more complicated. Cook the pasta and bacon (separately, of course). Beat together eggs, heavy whipping cream and cheese. This works as a side dish or as a meal in itself. You can made croutons by cutting up stale bread and cooking it on the stovetop. Also, fry and cut up bacon bits for a heartier salad. Sprinkle lemon juice or a little white wine vinegar on top. Ingredients: Lettuce, cheese, tomato
